ABOUT US
Beat the Shift Baseball features MLB highlights, podcasts, articles, and fantasy advice with a refreshingly honest fan perspective. Alex Uy, Alex Roude, and Farbod Markazi created the W.A.R & Peace Baseball Podcast back in December of 2014. Now a four man team after bringing on Ray Estrada, we have changed our name to Beat The Shift Baseball. Our goal will always to have fun recording our conversations about the sport we love. We appreciate any feedback and questions you have for us! We hope you enjoy and be on the lookout for even more great content to come!

I've lived in Irvine, California my whole life, but my family's New York roots led me to embrace the Yankees and all their evil, winning ways. Baseball has been the at the center of my life as long as I can remember; whether its out on the field between the lines, watching MLB Network every day after school, or talking baseball 24/7 with my friends. I've played baseball since I was little and currently play Club Baseball at UC San Diego. I've also been fortunate enough to help kids follow their dreams by volunteering with Angels R.B.I. Pouring everything I have into this passion project has been a blast and it keeps getting better.

I moved to the United States in the first grade and moved around a couple times since then so it’s been a little different finding somewhere I could truly call home. In the fourth grade, however, I went to an Angel game with my summer camp and ever since then I’ve been hooked on the sport. I loved playing it, but even more growing up I loved playing baseball analyst and MLB GM whenever any moves or deal happened. Fast forward to today, I am finishing up my second year at the University of Oregon looking to major in Business Administration with a Sports Business concentration. This Beat The Shift crew has been a major part of my life for the past three years and I’m excited to keep on keeping on and grow!

I was born and raised in San Pedro, next to the Port of Los Angeles. I have been playing some form of baseball for as long as I can remember and I currently play alongside Alex Uy on UC San Diego's Club Baseball team. My dad played baseball at Cal State Dominguez Hills for legendary coach Andy Lopez. He raised me on the Dodgers and Vin Scully's all time great voice. As a senior at UCSD I am studying communications with the goal of a career in sports broadcasting.
